HSE POLICY STATEMENT

Kelfin Kian Integrated Services has the following priorities and prerequisites in conducting its business:

  • The safety of staff during working operations.
  • The health of Kelfin Kian Integrated Services personnel, customers, suppliers and contractors.
  • Minimising environmental impacts associated with its activities.
  • Keeping the authorities and the public informed.
  • Compliance with applicable legislation

The following principles must be applied every day and at all sites in order to succeed in our commitment:

  • Remove or alleviate hazardous situations in order to minimize risks to personnel.
  • Set HSE performance objectives, measure results, assess and continually improve processes, through the use of an effective management system.
  • Monitor the health of our personnel on a regular basis to ensure that workers have the physical ability to perform their duties.
  • Guarantee and monitor that our activities have minimal impact on the environment.
  • Minimize our impact on the environment through pollution prevention, reduction of natural resource consumption and emissions, and the reduction and recycling of waste.
  • Apply our technical skills to all Health, Safety and Environment aspects in the design and engineering of our services and products
  • Promote awareness of issues relating to Health, Safety and Environment towards our employees and contractors, improving their individual skills through appropriate training programs and information.
  • Develop, maintain and test procedures and resources for dealing with emergencies in order to reduce the impact of incidents to a minimum.
  • Report and analyse all accidents, incidents and anomalies.
  • Monitor our performance and check our management system in order to improve rules and procedures in conducting our activities.
  • Maintain a consistent and transparent dialogue with authorities, local realities and other stakeholders, openly communicating our HSE policies, standards, programs and performance.

As managing director at Kelfin Kian Integrated Services, I am committed to ensuring that our organisation, our resources, procedures and practices enable us to achieve these objectives. It is the aim of Kelfin-Kian Integrated Services Nigeria Limited to provide superior customer services to clients through an innovative and quality approach whereby procedures are not complicated, regularly reviewed and enhanced to ensure consistent equipment performance and quality of services delivered to specification. We believe our company’s policy and commitment to quality will contribute greatly to our business performance. Kelfin-Kian Integrated Services shall provide its customers with quality and innovative products and services meeting external and internal requirements and expectations.

OUR POLICY STATEMENTS

NIGERIAN CONTENT POLICY

Our local content policy is galvanized by our resolve to build a world class company managed by well-groomed Nigerian professionals.

It is our policy to comply with the Nigeria Content Directive of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on local content , materials, suppliers and manpower from Nigeria and to make use of services and facilities, professional or otherwise which are rendered by Nigerians or companies incorporated in Nigeria, except when after proper research, such services/facilities are not available in Nigeria.

  • To fully comply with the NCD directive, Kelfin Kian Integrated Services shall domicile all engineering activities in-country as well as location of the project management team (PTM) and project procurement centre (PPC) in-country and carrying out in-country maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Show commitment in meeting with the Nigerian Content targets of the Federal Government of Nigeria of achieving a minimum of 70% Nigerian Content, in terms of total monetary expenditures through the deliberate utilization of Nigerian human and material resources without sacrificing safety, health and environmental standards.
  • Show commitment by deliberate addition or creation of value in-county via capacity building of locals, Technology transfer programs, Technology mentorship programs, increasing physical operational presence and investment in Nigeria, creating opportunities in human resources, development of Nigerian contractors and suppliers and implementing various innovation that will increase Nigerian content development in Nigeria.
  • The enforcement and implementation of this policy shall be the responsibility of the Chief Executive Officer.
  • The Management, all and sundry shall work assiduously to abide by the above-mentioned policy and improve in our key performance indicators.
